Beautiful folding chairs in solid meranti, backrest and seat in brown saddle leather embossed with Inca patterns. This modernist chair was designed by Angel Pazmino for Meubles de Estilo in the late 1960s. Ecuador at this time received a US aid project to encourage native craftsman. Local designers where given the opportunity to meet Danish modernists and exchange knowledge and ideas. This collaboration led to some great examples of traditional joinery applied to modern shapes with the use of high quality solid rosewood and leather. This example has a particularly attractive patina and a non embossed original leather.
