Beautiful set of 50 “Cesca” armchairs By Marcel Breuer manufactured in Italy. Black finish cane seats and backs. Classic chrome cane. Caning very good condition and a beautiful Carmel color. Made In Italy. Cesca chairs were originally designed in 1928 by French Hungarian architect Marcel Breuer and named after his daughter Francesca. Modernist, architect and furniture designer, Marcel Breuer, extended the sculptural vocabulary he had developed in the carpentry shop at the Bauhaus into a personal architecture that made him one of the world's most popular architects at the peak of 20th century design. This Bauhaus style chairs are part of the most important list from the 20th century design furniture collection. Excellent vintage condition.!
